To All Classified:
Within the next couple of days, you will be
hearing information from your principals on the budget cuts and reduction
in force. This information is what the district is proposing from the
recommendation of the budget committee. This committee will be meeting again this Thursday to discuss the districts proposals.
At this time, the union does not have this information and will see it on Thursday
night. As soon as we get all the exact cost information from
the district, we will begin the process of looking at all of our
options and strategy we will be taking:
--Get the information on Thursday
--Get the exact dollar amount the district is cutting for
classifieds
--Get the exact positions being affected.
--Get the seniority list from the district for these position
--Start the process of looking into all the options we have to offer to the
district.
--Have several special chapter meetings to share all
information with members.
--Meetings will be held at various locations for easier membership attendance.
--After all options have been thoroughly discussed with the membership, a special
meeting will be held to vote on the direction the members want to take.
This will all have to take place before the last day of school.
NO OFFERS WILL BE MADE TO THE DISTRICT WITHOUT A MAJORITY VOTE
